ROLLER SKATING: The last night of Rol- ler Skating is Wednes- day, July 6, from 7-8:30 p.m. The skates will return to us on August 8th. There is a full Recreation program offered in the Arena during July and August for all ages. The time for this will be from 2-10 p.m. Activities included are basketball, volley- ball, lacrosse, ball hoc- key, drop-in, and others. CIRCUS TICKETS: Martin & Downs' Cir- cus will be preforming in Terrace Bay on August 30 at the Texaco Field. Advance tickets are now on sale, and are avail- able from the Recreation office. Advance tickets are lower in price, and make excellent birthday gifts. DIVING COURSE AT POOL: There is a possibility of offering a Diving Course for an 8 week period, if interest is sufficient. A minimum of 8, and a maximum of 10 people will be requir- ed for this course. The course involves 2 one- hour sessions from 11-12 noon each week for the 8 weeks. The Instructor will be Michele Gilbert. If you are interested, please 'call the Recrea- tion Office at 3542 for details such as cost and starting times. 'WATER POLO: Are you interested in participating in Recrea- tional Water Polo? This program will be open to everyone 10 to 15 years of -age. There is no registration fee. The North Shore Recreation Directors are promoting this sport, and there will be a Water Polo Jam- boree in Terrace Bay on August 6. We need a team! If you are inter- ested, talk to any of the Pool Staff and leave your name at the Recreation Office. SWIM NEWS: 1. Lessons began on Monday, July 4th. Check AT THE SWIM POOL FOR TIMES & CLASS LISTS. LATE REGISTRATIONS ARE NOT BEING ACCEPT-. ED FOR JULY AS CLASSES ARE FULL. DEADLINE FOR AUG- UST REGISTRATION IS TUESDAY, JULY 26. 2. There are 12 vacan- cies for Aquabics. Fee is $20. 3. There will be a small craft safety clinic sponsored by Red Cross on July 7th, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the pool. Everyone is welcome. 4. We are trying to start an inner tube water polo program but are still unable to locate small inner tubes. If you know where we might pur- chase them please call the recreation office at 3542. Ages for this pro- gram will be 15 and over. 5. Due to lack of regis- tration for synchro and swim lessons, these will be cancelled unless there is sufficient increase by July 8th. Call 3542 if you are interested. TOT LOT: Thic ic a reminder that TOT LOT started Monday, July 4th at the Arena. Lots of fun activi- ties are planned throughout the summer for the children. NEW FALL PROGRAMS: In conjunction with Confederation College, we have the following fall courses - planned: Advanced Microwave Cooking, Paper Tole Workshop, Relaxation Workshop and Account- ing (either beginners or advanced - depends upon interest.)
