Place flour in a large plastic bag. Add chicken pieces a few at a time, shaking to coat thoroughly. Reserve remaining flour. Brown chicken pieces well on both sides in oil in a large skillet, remove from skillet, keep warm. Remove all but 2 tablespoons oil from skillet. Add onions and garlic, saute until trans- parent, about 5 min- utes. Stir in reserved flour mixture, tomatoes, mushrooms with liquid and wine, blend thoroughly. Return chicken to skillet, cover, cook over low heat 30 minutes or till chicken is tender. Add more wine if sauce becomes too thick.
