In small bowl, beat together egg yolks, le- mon juice, and water. Stir into gelatin mix- ture. Cook over medium heat, stirring just till mixture comes to a boil and gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in lemon rind. Chill, stirring occasionally, till mixture is almost set. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat egg whites, gradually add remaining sugar, beating till stiff peaks form when beat- ers are pulled up. Fold in gelatin mixture. Fold in whipped cream. Pile into pastry shell. Chill till firm. Garnish with chopped pecans.
