But no matter how much work goes into organization, success depends on your participation. So come out and have some fun. He SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE On behalf of the Kinsmen | would like to take this opportunity to thank all the groups helping to make the carnival a success. The .. Lions, The Moose, Lady's of The Moose; The Catholic Womens League, The Figure Skating Club, Birchwood Terrace, The Terrace Bay Minor Hockey League, The Terrace Bay Oldtimers, The Broomball League, The Fire Department, The Police Department and all the Terrace Bay business people who advertised in the special carnival edition of the newspaper. This group of people bring you KIN KARNIVAL '83 a little something for everyone. For those who want to do it we have barrel jumping races for the kids, snow golf, ice fishing, cross country ski racing, and log sawing and nailing contests. For those who want to watch it there is, figure skating, old timers hockey, midget. hockey tournament, men's broomball playoffs, closing bonfire, and of course the carnival parade. For those with an interest in eating there is the pancake breakfast Saturday and hot dogs and chili at the Lions events Sunday. For those who enjoy a little drinking a well stocked bar awaits you at the Last Chance Saloon. So come out and support your town, its clubs and its carnival and ENJOY. Lise Goedhard and Bill Savage. DON'T MISS THE NEW KARNIVAL BUTTON A small investment of $1.00 buys this years KIN KARNIVAL button. The button is required for entry into the opening night ceremonies, the LAST CHANCE SALOON, and the SNOW GOLF COMPETITION. This years button is adorned with a new design submitted by Lise Goedhard and is available at Moores and all the afformentioned events. WARM UP AT THE LAST CHANCE SALOON After a delicious pancake breakfast what could be better than the LAST CHANCE SALOON. Located in Birchwood Terrace's lower level the Last Chance #s operated under a special occasion permit and requires only a carnival button to get in. You can try the infamous Krazy Kariboo Kocktail or your own favorite. The Kinsmen are turning over these profits from the bar to Birchwood for renovations so bring your friends and enjoy. As a reward for hearty individuals entering the snow golf competition the exit from the ninth hole with be situated mere steps from the entrance to the Birchwood Saloon.
