MON.-FRI, MAILING ADDRESS - Box 579, PHONE 825-3747 (7) (FOSALIOIG During the month of January, 58 patients were admitted to the McCausland Hospital, 245 outpatients were treated, there were 3 newborn, and patient days numbered 338. The work on the new hospital is progressing well. All the windows are in and all the partition walls are up. Most of the heavy mechanical equipment is already inside the building. Roughing in electrical work, plumbing and ductwork is coming along nicely. Several years ago, as part of the campaign to raise funds to build a new hospital, a scheme of payroll deduction of con- tributions was instituted, approved by the various employers in the area and supported generously by many of their employees We would naw appeal to residents of the communities served by- The McCausland Hospital to assist in this project by pledging contributions to be deducted from their pay cheques. 'Contrib- utions in the amount of $100.00 will entitle the donor to Life Membership in The McCausland Hospital Corporation. In a future issue of this paper we shall publish a list of equipment necessary to the new hospital building, and would Tike to challenge individuals and organizations to donate items of their choice. Our Thanksgiving can never be confined to but one day of the year, and those involved in this absorbing interest of watching a new hospital take form find many occasions for giv- -ing heartfelt thanks that we are privileged to live amongst so many thoughtful, unselfish people.. The Schreiber-Terrace Bay Ukrainian Group have presented a cheque for $1,600.00 to the Building Fund, proceeds raised from their various Christ- . mas activities. MWe are deeply grateful for the generosity of this gift.
