At the banquet on Saturday night, the Terrace Bay Curling Club was congratulated by Northern Ontario Mixed Curling Representatives Tom Fry and Robbie Sinclair and by Seagram's representative Bill Krafft for the gxcellent job of hosting this event with very short notice. The executive is really grateful for the extra effort from all members who helped in any way at this Playdown. Jack and 011ie Chapman organized every detail so well that not one complaint was heard. Janice Wilson too Ollie's place during the curling with her usual friendly competence. However, the event could not have been a success without the help and support of general membership. This we got and appreciated. Bruce Sweet was unable to skip his rink so Bob Diubreuil took his place. Rumour has it that Bob held the log that broke Bruce's leg. Never mind Bruce you have many curling years ahead of you yet!
