NOVEMBER 15, 1978 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 THE TERRACE BAY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION ANNUAL MEETING NOVEMBER 21, 1978 AT 17:00 CREDIT UNION OFFICE ALL MEMBERS URGED TO ATTEND To consider and if thought fit to approve new general by-laws of the Credit Union providing for the conduct of its affairs and providing among other things for - (i) a redemnification of the bond : of association fk the protection and sri (33) cation of Directors, officers and committee members, (iii) a redefinition of permissible , loan limits, (iv) the right of the Credit Union to acquire real the right of estate, the Board to borrow on behalf of the Credit Union. The purpose of enacting new general by-laws is to conform to the provisions of the new Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act 1976, and to take advantage of new provisions in the Act. (v) Copies of the new general by-laws may be examined during normal business hours, at the Credit Union's Office. Anyone having a Guide or Brownie uniform for sale, please contact Mrs. L. Laitenen at 825-3625 after 1 p.m. The next L.A. Meetirig will 'be held Monday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Community Church. All mothers of Guides and Erownies are welcome. Information on uniforms and Brownie Programme will be of interest to mothers of new Brownies. Both packs have taken in new girls. Working with Pack 1 are Geraldine Belliveau, Nancy Evoy and Carol 'McLeod; with Pack 2 are lsle Smith, Ann Dodd, Pat McGraw, Lucette McGee and Cadet Tracy Stachiw. The Guide Company held a successful candy blitz and are pre- sently circulating Regal catalogues for Xmas orders with pro- fits going toward their Special 25th Year Project. Working with the Guides are Marilyn Saraanpaa, Pam Jones and Jeaneen Sawyer. Rangers and Cadets are under the leadership of Cathy Geldreich and Theresa Roberts. THE CONFEDERATION COLLEGE OF APPLIED ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY OFFERS ZA 884 CAKE DECORATING (Section 95) The student will learn to make buttercream flowers; special ideas for Christmas; French fancies; chocolate molding; marshmellow party favours such as Winnie-the-Pooh and Big Bird; and pipe large figures such as Santa Claus, Puff the id Dragon, and pink elephants. Open to the new as well as the experienced decorator.
