IN MEMOR |AM: In loving memory of a dear husband & father, Alex Marquis, who passed away November 18th, 1973, | watched you suffer, | heard you sigh And all | could do was just stand by. When the time came | suffered too, For you never deserved what you went through My heart still aches with sadness The secret tears still flow What it meant to lose you No one will ever know. Sadly missed by wife Nacy; Ronnie, Barrie, Sharon and families. CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S CLUB MEETING A SUCCESS Although a very new organization, the Schreiber-Terrace Bay Christian Women's Club has stirred a great deal of interest in the community and their second meeting, held on October 17 at the Canadian Legion, was very well attended. Modelling the latest in winter fashions were Giselle Legacy, Joanne Moore and Linda Ditchfield, while Margie Fulton acted as commentator. Karen Porter, mezzo-soprano from Virginia, sang such favour- ites as "Getting to Know You", followed by an informative speech by Olga Bergen, a homemaker and business woman from Winnipeg who is a frequent speaker for women's groups. Bonnilee Ashley, who travels extensively to organize the jroups, spoke on the history and purpose of the Christian Wom- en's Clubs. Included in the new executive are Lottie Kelsal, Chairman; Marianne Jones, Project Advisor; and Joyce London, Prayer Ad- visor, : x The next meeting will be held on November 21 at the Canadian Legion, Terrace Bay; 7:15 - 9:15 p.m. The special feature will be "Christmas Crafts", presented by the residents of Birchwood Terrace.
