DAVIS-POOLE VOWS EXCHANGED In a double ring ceremony, Jennifer Margaret Poole and Lawrence William Davis exchanged wedding vows at the Terrace Bay Community Church on Saturday, August 19th. The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Poole of Terrace Bay. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Davis of Schreiber. Rev. B. Bigelow officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. Ellen Hodgkiss was organist. The Church was decorated with blue del- phiniums, pink gladiolus and shasta daisies with pink carnations and baby's breath on the Altar. The Bride wore an ivory organdy gown with pearl beaded chantilly lace and a chapel-length matching veil. She:-carried a bouquet of pink roses. Maid of honour was Linda Huard of Schreiber. Bridesmaids were Jane Poole, sister of the Bride; Judy Davis, sister of the Groom; Theresa Ramsay, Edmonton and Judy Zwaresh of Terrace Bay. All attendants wore three quarter length, light toffee coloured identical dresses and carried nosegays of daisies. " Best man was Detlef Trapp and groomsmen were Dan McGrath and Bill Collinson Jr. all from Schreiber. Ushers were Jody Davis, Groom's brother of Terrace Bay and Bill Hiller, Groom's cousin of Schreiber. A reception anc dance was held in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Terrace Bay, where the Bride's mother received wearing a blue crepe gown and corsage of pink roses. The Groom's mother assisted, wearing a blue flowered gown and white, tipped carna- tion corsage. The bridal couple left on a two week honeymoon trip to the Barbados and on their return will reside at 120 Ontario Street, Schreiber. Out of town guests at the wedding included relatives and . friends from Toronto, Barrie, Midhurst, Timmins, Sudbury, Gerald -ton, Longlac and Thunder Bay. STR SCHREIBER SOCIAL: Annie Brownlie and Sue Powell, of. Coldpoint, N.S.W,, Australia, were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McParland. Sue Powell-is an exchange teacher for Judy McParland who's presently teaching in Coldpoint. Annie Brownlie is also a teacher and together they toured Canada, enjoying the Common- wealth Games while visiting Doris and Sheila McParland in Edmonton.
