Boys were billeted by parents of Mani touwadge. The players behaved very well and played hard, putting up a very good show. At a banquet held at 4:30 p.m., Mike Barry received a medallion for putting in a good team effort. RECERTIFICATION - Red Cross - Royal Life Instructors - The recreation office received no- tice on May 15,1978 that a Red Cross - Royal Life Instructor recertification Course will be held in Thunder Bay on June 17 & 18, 1978. NEW ARENA CONTRACT - The tender price by Gateway Builders and Supply of Thunder Bay, re: The new arena is fim until June 30, 1978. There has been rumours circulating that the contract had become void. At present we are awaiting approval from Wintario on eligibil- ity for funding. Our information is that it should be here shortly. BASEBALL MEETINGS - On Tuesday, May 30th there was-ameeting for all those interested in getting a Mens baseball league started. On Wednesday the 31st a similiar meeting is being held for ladies baseball. MINOR BASEBALL - There have been registration forms put into the elementary schools for those wishing to play minor baseball. We are sure sufficient players willbe attained, however, will there be enough coaches, umpires? Equipment purchases will be determined by the registration fees, no coaches, means no teams, resulting in lower equipment inven- tory. RINGETTE LEAGUE - The Schreiber Ringette League donated $2,000.00 to the New Schreiber Arena building fund last Wednesday. Each member is to be congratulated for work in making the contribution.
