MAY 17, 1978 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 21 GAGNON: The death of Joseph (Joe) P. Gagnon, aged 80, formerly of Schreiber, occured on May 8, 1978, in Westville, N,S. where he and his wife had been living with their son Boyer. Mr. Gagnon was born in Rouyn, Quebec in 1898, coming to White River in 1910, where he began his long service with the CePuR. as a call boy, and also worked the Shop there. In 1917 he started "firing! on the 'Road' in Sclireiber and was promoted to engineer in 1941. He retired in this position in 1963, receiving one 3f the cherished Gold Passes from the CoPeRe He is survived by his wife Bertha, son Boyer and wife Florence, four grandchildren, Angela, Arnold, Mark and Kelly; five sisters - Mary Porter, Eva Brown, Thunder Bay, Louise Lavoie, Marathon, Veronica Lavoie, Ignace, Stella Grenier, B.Ce; two brothers, Wilfrid, Thunder Bay, and John of Schrei- ber. There are also many other relations in the immediate district, The funeral and interment will take place in Westville. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: D'Arcy Trowsse, of Mount Uniacke, N.S, is visiting her grandmother, Inez McCuaig, and other relatives in Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Mrs. Bill Love, nee Lillian Alcorn, of Hazelton, B.C. spent last week visiting girlhood friends in Schreiber. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Brown, of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Kim Gellert, of Sault Ste.
