While working radar in the Township, Police charged five speeders and one impaired driver, As a result of a disturbance at a local licenced lounge, six persons were charged with causing a disturbance by fight- ing as well as three persons being charged with obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty. Two persons were charged with infractions under the Liquor Licence Act and three siezures of liquor were made. One juvenile was reported missing and was later located. Police were also requested to attend two domestic family disputes. Four persons appeared in Provincial Court on March 8th and the following cases were disposed of: Christopher Randa - charged with failing to comply with probation order and was fined $100.00 or 10 days in fail. John Graham ~ charged with mischief and received three months in the District Jail. Chief Zroback attended a three day senior officers seminar on Crime Prevention at the Ontario Police College. It is anticipated that a crime prevention program will be introduced into our community in the near future and Constable Tack has been appointed as the Crime Prevention co-ordinator for the force.
