TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT 06 MARCH 1978 During the period of March 1st to 5th, members of the Terrace Bay Police Force were called upon to investigate four- teen occurrences. On March 1st, four persons were charged with not having their vehicle Ticence plates validated with the 1978 sticker. On March 2nd, one complaint of wilful damage was investigated and charges are pending in this case. One complaint of common assault is presently under investigation. Also on this date, Poliee were called upon to investigate a disturbance at a local residence. On March 3rd, two motorists were charged with speeding in the Township. Three charges of speeding were also laid on March 4th, Police are presently investigating a theft of a pair of expensive figure skates, taken from the Recreation Centre. One charge of mischief was laid after a glass door gt the High School was kicked out. March 5th, saw police lay one charge of speeding and investi gated two motor vehicle accidents with damages in excess of $4,000.00. A directive has been received fron the Ontario Police Commis- sion advising all police forces to strictly enforce the seat belt Tegislation. : Continued page 16s...
