This doesn't mean you have a summer job, however, we will have your name on file for interview processes. The number of persons hired will also depend on the grants we receive this summer. ARENA UPDATE -- At the time of this writing no decision has been made on a contractor for the new arena. The totals to date are: CASH $8,600.00; PLEDGES $23,000.00; PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS $7,205.00; on hand previously $4500.00; FOR A TOTAL OF $43,305.00. Letters have been written to several foundations, companies, groups soliciting their support. The Schreiber Kinsmen Club has pledged $5000. 00 over five years with the first $1000.00 coming in shortly. Buttons will be ordered for support of the arena, these will be on the streets in three or four weeks. A total of $2799.64 before expenses was collected. A portion will go for the girls equipment, funded 507 by Wintario, some for travel= ling expenses and the balance to the new arena. The Ringette girls would like to thank all the ladies that served hot chocolate, sandwiches, donuts, rubbed many sore, blistered feet and ankles; to the people who made loaves of sandwiches; to the boys who assisted in rubbing feet, ankles, and cleaning the dressing rooms, seating areas, the women in the concession booth for staying open throughout the skate-a- thon, to Schreiber Food Market for their donation of hot chocolate. Without you it would have been more difficult and not as successful. People topping the pledges are Bonny Bourgignon with $207.20, Stephen Spikula at $149.76 and Anita Power $117.78.
