SONS = Donald of Atlanta, McCOUAN : The funeral service of the late Clarence Robert (Pat) McCouan, aged 63, whose death occurred on August 30th in Thunder Bay Hospi- tal, was held on September 2nd, in St. And- rews United Church in Schreiber, by the Rev. Brian Bigelow. Mrs. Dorothy Lengyel was the organist and the senior choir was in attendance. The Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 109, led by President Borden Ross, held their service in the King Funeral Home on Thursday evening. The pallbearers were Bruce Hiller, Frank MacDonald, Earl McCouan, William Randa, Ivan Johnson and Rene Lamoureaux. Interment was in Schreiber cemetary. Mr. McCouan's immediate survivors are his mother, Mrs. Agnes McCouan of Schreiber; two Georgia, & Murray of Hollywood, Florida; a daughter - Patricia ? (Mrs. Michel Gagnon) of St. Celestin, Quebec; | five brothers - Jack, George and Wallace of Schreiber, Manuel of Toronto and Earl of Windsor; four sisters =- Louella (Mrs. Archie McColemgn) , Lillian (Mrs. Frank MacDonald), Earline (Mrs. Ivan Johnson and Ruth (Mrs. " Leonard Hiller) all of Schreiber, along with many nieces and nephews apd nephews in Schreiber and Thunder Bay. om 2 Mr. McCouan, who had just retired this year, had served in the Canadian Navy. In addition to being a member of the Royal Cana- dian Legion, Br. 109, he also belonged to the Elks' Lodge in Thunder Bay. He had worked in different capacities for the C.P.R. ' Among those attending the funeral from out of town were: his sons, Donald McCouan of Atlanta, and Murray and his wife Geraldine of Hollywood; his daughter Patricia and her husband Michel Gagnon of. St. Celestin; brother Earl of Windsor; Mr. and Mrs. Gedbrge LeMarbe, Miss Margaret Stearns, Mrs. Dolly Reither and Lesley Milks of Thunder Bay; Susan Johnson, Chris Hewson of Manitouwadge and Don Graham of Marathon. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: Laura Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Campbell of Mississauga, formerly of Schreiber, was among the class of 115 gra- duates of the Credit Valley Schocl of Nurs- ing, who received their graduation pins from Miss Oressa Gubbert, Director of Nursing, in an August ceremony. Laura, grand daughter of Mrs. Tommy Bolan of Schreiber, was valedictor- ian for the class.
