Graduation which was held in Terrace Bay in March, when Mrs, Chris Dunham was crowned K.0.P.S. Queen for 1976. She lost 7I lbs, The runner-up was Mrs, Mary Winters losing 30 lbs. : The best winner for losing the most weight in 1976 was Mrs, Lurleen Blais losing 26 3/4 lbs. and runner-up was Mrs. Barb Wise with a loss of 23 lbs, The division winners were: Division 4 - Ist - Lurleen Blais - 2 3/4 lbs,, 2nd - Sylvia Stortini - 2I} 1lbs., 3rd - Lise Jamieson - 20+ lbs, Division 5 - Ist - Barb Wise.- 23 lbs, Division 8 - Ist - Terri-Ann Bouchard - 22% 1bs., 2nd - Rosemery Mae - IO} lbs, We also honoured I2 Alumi K.0.P.S. along with two gra- duating K,0.P.Ss Alumni K.0.P.S. U4 years - Lillian Sechesky., Graduating K.0.P.S. = Betty St. Amand with a loss of IY 3/4 lbs and Lurleen Blais with a loss of 4o lbs. : Special gifts were presented to Helen Dooley, Heather Graham, Marg Santerre, Mary Winters, Lillian Sechesky, Lise Jamieson, Frank Sechesky, T.A. Bouchard, Lurleen Blais, Jeannine Desrosiers, Marg Phillips and Helen LeBlanc. Gifts were presented to last year's executive of: Helen LeBlanc, Mavis Godin, Claire Madge, Edythe Cosgrove and Norah Richardson. On April 6th the new executive for I977 was installed by Helen LeBlanc, retiring leader. They are as follows: Leader - Claire Madge; Co-Leader - Sylvia Stortini; Secretary - Liz Mcleod; Treasurer - Rhea Beaulieu; Weight Recorder - Edythe Cosgrove; Assitant Weight Recorder - Norah Richardson. Mrs. Peggy Small, who has lived in Schreiber since 1946 was given a community farewell par- ty in the Anglican Church Hall on Tuesday, July] 5th, with Mrs. Georgina Davis assisting her in receiving. From her friends in Schreiber, Rossport and Terrace Bay, Mrs. Small received many beautiful gifts, in addition to formal ones presented by: the Legion Ladies' Auxiliary, Branch 109 - . farewell brooch by Mrs. Davis; the twenty five year C.W.L. membership pin by Mrs. Lorette " McParland; a personal gift from her "Godchild" Margot Davis. Mrs. Ruth Hiller presented the collection of friends' gifts recalling the var- " ious committees and projects Peggy had assist- .ed with during her years in Schreiber. A cake, made and given to Peggy by Freda Duggan, attracted much admiration - as an exact replica of a piece of luggage, complete with Australian insignia. Peggy is going to visit her son Ray and his family in Australia before She has been employed in the office of The Lake Superior Board of Education. Servitors at the tea were Mesdames Mary Shack Jr., Linda Nesbitt, Beulah Speziale, Barbara Spadoni, Jackie Commisso, Norma Gusul Miss Linda Fraser and Miss Margo Davis. NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF SCHREIBER The Council of the Township of Schreiber is interested in forming a Cemetery Board. IT is planned that the Board consist of 3 persons, two members drawn from the general public, and one member of Council. The function of the Board will be to set policy for the operation of the Cemetery.
