JUNE 29, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT POLICE REPORT - 21 - 26 JUNE 1977: The Terrace Bay Police Force reports a fair- ly quiet week for the period 21 to 26 June, as only seventeen occurrences were logged. A male person from Newfoundland skipped with -out paying for his lodgings at a local motel. This matter is presently being investigated. Police were called upon to investigate a vehicle accident on June 23rd at the intersec- tion of Hudson Drive and Selkirk Avenue. A vehicle driven by Peeter Ojavee of Fort Frances was westbound on Selkirk Avenue and was struck by a vehicle driven by Fredrick Lagg of Thunder Bay, who was southbound on Hudson Drive. Total damages have been estimated in excess of $1000. ' Charges have been laid. * On June 25th, a motorist was charged with impaired driving when stopped by local police and during the week four motorists were charg- .ed with speeding when caught in police radar. The week was open -ed at Birchwood with an ecumenical church service in the lobby of the home. Father "Tony", Rev. Bigelow, Rev. John Laari and Mr. Dejonghe of Schreiber, officiated.
