Saturday, May.7th - McCausland Hospital Annual Ball "A TOUCH OF SPRING" Terrace Bay High School, "9:00 . p.m. to 1:00 a.m. COURT NEWS APRIL 14, 1977 On April l4th, Provincial Court, Criminal Division was held in the Municipal Building in Terrace Bay. The following cases were heard at this time. Ronald Brend was charged with ohstiucting police and received a fine of $450.00 or 45 days in jail. Robert Bryck was found guilty of driving while disqualified and fined $250.00 or 25 days in:jail. = Louis Gagnon was found gulley of driving a motor vehicle with over .08 mgs of alcohol and sentenced to 14 days imprisonment. Pasi Kinnunen was found guilty of impaired driving and sentenced to 14 days imprisonment and was placed on one year probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. John Kroft was found guilty of theft of auto and received a conditional discharge, one year probation and to be of good behaviour. Rene Theriault entered a plea. of guilty to causing a disturbance by swearing and xe- ceived a fine of $150.00 or 15 days imprison- ment. Ian Whyte entered a plea of guilty to driv- "ing with over .08 mgs of alcohol and received . a fine of $200.00 or 20 days in jail. Tomy Trapp entered a plea of guilty to break enter and theft and has been remanded to June 9th for sentencing. Peter Cushway was found guilty of theft of gasoline and was fined $100.00 or 10 days «4n jall. : The following youths entered a plea of guilty to causing a disturbance by either fighting or swearing at the High School dance on February 18th: Mark Malashewski, David Mallais, Ronald Siedel, Dennis Arsenault, Kenneth Churney, Michael Gerlach, Gary Larson and Arthur Stachiw. The above persons re- ceived a conditional discharge, probation for one year with the following conditions, to keep the peace and .be of good behaviour, not to set foot in the High School unless enrolled as a student, if working, to maintain employ- " ment and abstain from the use of alcoholic beverages for the period of one year.
