« PAGE 16 TERRACE BAY NEWS MARCH 16, 1977 SCHREIBER ART CLUB PLAN ANNUAL SHOW Mrs. Simone Bourgeois, at the March 7th meeting of the Schreiber Art Club, informed members that Jim Dunstan, had written cancel- ling a meeting which was to have been in Thunder Bay. It is postponed until March 19 at 9:30 a.m. in the Terrace Bay High School, with representatives from all North Shore Clubs to attend. A Kenora painter will be contacted by Mrs. Bourgeois regarding an Art Course. The Schreiber Art Club will Jold its annual show on June 4th and 5th. A painting by Col- leen Glad will be raffled. Other details of the show will be announced later. The next regular meeting will be on April 4th. SOCIAL: Mr. and Mrs. G.A. (Short) Scott visited in Victoria with Mr. Scott's sister and her husband - Mr. and Mrs. Russell. Skinner and in Vancouver with a cousin, Mrs. Alice McGregor. At present Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scott and family of Red Rock are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Scott. John Scott is now in Edmonton employed with the Alberta Gov't Records Dept. and enjoys the travelling the work involves. ROBERT MOORES WINS DRAW _ The Schreiber Metis Association held their monthly meeting on March 8th, 1977. The first 50/50 draw was made with Robert Moores of Schreiber winning the sum of $55.00. The next draw will be held at the next monthly meeting on April 12th. Tickets for the next 50/50 draw, also for a grocery ham- per are available from members. The grocery hamper draw will be held on March 26th. On account of local interest it was decided to have a box social and dance on April 15th, which will be open to the public. : pending.
