MARCH 9, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE. 7 ST. MARTIN'S C.W.L. PARISH COUNCIL A film on "Breast Cancer" was shown after the regular meeting of St. Martin's C.W.L. Parish Council on Sunday, February 20th. Mrs. Hale answered questions posed by the ladies. The rosary was recited in the Church, prior to the meeting, for deceased members and re- latives. The World Day of Prayer will be hosted this year by the Ladies of the Community Church. Mrs. C. Roen will look after the readers from this parish. . The Right to Life seminar on "Respect for Human Life" was held on February 25th and 26th and the Festival For Life, an exciting pro- life event, will be held in Ottawa on May 5, 6 & 7. . : In a letter from Bishop O'Mara to all par- ishes he expresses his concern about pornog- graphy. We encounter this in literature and -T.V. programs. A letter will be sent to express our views relative to magazines and books shown in our community. We should also commend the good as well as the bad, so that' the people concerned will know. Aa letter was sent to the T.V. stations in Thunder Bay >, by the C.W.L. as a group, to commend the dif- ferent religious programs shown on Sunday. We received an answer thanking us for taking the trouble to write to them with our comment. The ladies were thanked for catering for the Cormier family. A discussion on improving the kitchen fac- ilities took place and it was suggested to organize a work party to take inventory in the near future. Gifts for first communion, confirmation and graduation will be ordered for anyone re- questing them. The last date for ordering will be April 3rd. There will be a social after Confirmation on May 19th and Mrs. Falzetta has consented to look after this. ; The president, Mrs. Kennedy, mentioned the Annual Diocesan Convention to be held in Fort Frances in May. Annual reports have to be handed in by the March meeting. . Mrs. C. Roen will head the nominating com- mittee, assisted by Mrs. Pp. Regis. The meeting was closed with the league prayer.
