Mrs. Harold Gellert of Schreiber, is the top scorer in the Alleghe hockey team, centred in Belbeno, Italy. He has signed a contract 'to play again next year. He's believed to be the only player from this area playing in that league. Kim, who learned to skate as soon as he could walk, went through the various hockey teams here, ending with the North Stars and, from there to Lake Superior State College on a scholarship. Kim's faithful in sending home reports of the games but, all his mother and father can make out in these reports is the name Gellert, so they have to call on Italian speaking freinds for interpretations. The theme of the message this year is "Love In Action". The service will be held on Friday, March 4th at 2 p.m. in St. John's Anglican Church, Schrei- ber. The planning committee extends a wel- come to everyone. Warm P Ontario ONTARIO TRAILS COUNCIL TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING AT THUNDER BAY MARCH 1, 1977 7:30 P.M. Airlane Motor Hotel, Junction Hwys. 17 & 11. The Council was established by the Minister of Natural Resources to assist the Government in the preparation of a recreational _ trails programme. This Council is an autonomous group, com- posed of members of the public who represent hiking, snow- mobiling, bicycling, cross-country skiing, canoeing, motorized trail bike and horseback riding interests. The Council also includes memberships from trail related interests such as private individuals, conservationists and agriculturalists. The purpose of this public meeting is to receive briefs and to hold informal discussions with all interested individuals and groups. The Trails Council actively seeks the support of the public in the identification of present issues, conflicts, and solutions to the development of a Provincial Trails Programme. The amount of time allocated for each presentation will be governed by the total number of briefs submitted. It is therefore requested that only one brief per organization or person be presented.
