FEBRUARY I6, I977 TERRACE BAY NEWS 'PAGE IO OPP INVESTIGATING BOMB EXPLOSION A dynamite bomb shook the usually peaceful streets of Schreiber at 4:10 a.m. on Saturday morning. A car belonging to Mr. Harry Martin- son of Schreiber was mined during the night with one or two sticks of dyna- mite according to Schreiber 0O.P.P. No motive for the bombing is known Mr. Martinson is popular in the comm- unity. "We don't know of any motive", a spokesman for Schreiber 0.P.P. "We hope its not a lunatic. Some people are afraid to start their car for fear of a device wired to the ig- nition". Schreiber O0.P.P. have enlisted the aid of Thunder Bay OPP's forensic science lab. . "We are treating this as a very serious matter", said the OPP spokes- man. Maximum: penalty for the offence is fourteen years "imprisonment. Damage to the undercarriage and interior of the car was heavy. Win- dows in the car and Mr. Martinson's house were blown out. No one was in- jured in the explosion. WHEN: 5 weeks' course starting February 26th, every Saturday werning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. COST: $5.00 per registrant WHERE: large meeting room of the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre WHO: children age 8 to Grade 8.
