Council wished to ex- press their gratitude to the local clubs by advertising in a special -issue of "Kin" magazine. Police Chief Wm. zroback advised Council of a Police Chiefs' Zone meeting Feb. llth in Atikokan which he would like to attend. Council agreed it would be beneficial both to the Town and to the Police Chief for him to attend. Councillor Marge Hamilton reported as chairman of the Police Dept. Committee that Constable Thomas Tack was visiting the Pub- lic School to speak to the students about safety and that Police Chief Wm. Zroback was going to the High School to talk to the stu- dents every three weeks about Civil Law. In the District Men's Curling Playdowns the Gerry Dupas rink began competition in Bal- mertown, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. The Dupas team recorded two wins and five losses in the District Playdowns. The four curlers from Terrace Bay had a busy weekend as they played seven games between Thursday afternoon and Saturday evening. Terrace Bay has the money : set aside in a' special account to purchase a new Fire Truck this year.
