The Nipigon Minor Hockey League sponsored a two day Bantam tournament during the holidays - December 27th and 28th, 1976. Teams entered were Longlac, Geraldton, Manitoud wadge, Terrace Bay, Nipigon, Thunder Bay Bea- vers, Thunder Bay Canadians and Thunder Bay Maroons. Winning the entire tournament for two years running were our very own Terrace Bay Bantam All-Stars and may it be said from the town how proud we are of them. The consolation was won by Manitouwadge in a hard fought game with Nipigon. The first game Terrace Bay played was at 8:00 a.m. December 27th against the Nipigon Kinsmen Scoring for Terrace Bay, were Mike Moher with 3, Tommy Weaver with 2, Dale Love with 1, John Fisher with 1 and Mark Campbell with 1. Final score being 8 - 2. At 6:00 p.m. December 27th, Terrace Bay played their 2nd game with Geraldton. Scoring for Terrace Bay were Tommy Weaver with 1, George Hermes with 2,Mike Moher with 6 and John Fisher with 2. Total score was 11 - 3. The final game played at 3:00 p.m., Decem- ber 28th was an easy win over the Thunder Bay Hacio Beavers. Scoring for Terracé Bay were Mike Moher with 4, Brian Hiller with 3, Tommy Weaver with 1, George Hermes with 2, John Fisher with 1 and Dale Love with 1. Final score 12 - 1. Coach, Tom Armstrong and Manager Dick Jefferson would like to sincerely thank Dick Moher, Joan Weaver, Barry Stephen, Betty Bouchard, Bill Love, Lucille Kodila and Paul Jefferson for driving the team to Nipigon. A large team trophy was presented to Terrace Bay and individual trophies went to each team player on the championship team. Mike Moher also received Most Valuable Player trophy in this tournament.
