PAGE 10 TERRACE BAY NEWS JANUARY 19, 1977 TERRACE BAY MENS' CLUB PLAYOFFS Hector McLeod and Ken Johnson line up a shop during the Mens' Curling Playoffs for the local club. Six teams took part in the Mens' Curling Playoffs January 8th, 9th and 10th at the Terrace Bay Curling Club. Each team played five games. The Gerry Dupas Rink won the right to go on.to the Zone Four Playoffs to be held the weekend of the 22nd in Terrace Bay. Gerry Dupas' Rink consists of Mike Fenton, Dennis Magne, and Gary Gusul. Bob Roberts' Rink of Barry Harper, Paul Gauthier and Bill Bingleman were runners-up with four wins and one loss. : RECREATION REPORT: Cont'd from page 8 .... the course will unfortunately have to be cancelled. Therefore, anyone wishing to take part in the Upholstery Workshop must register with the Recreation Office by Thursday at 5:00 p.m. PRE-SCHOOL LEARN-TO-SKATE PROGRAMME : Please refer to page 11 for details con- cerning a Learn-to-Skate programme for pre- schoolers. The Terrace Bay Recreation Depart- ment will be offering this programme and the instructor will be Pauline McGuirk. PILOTS GROUND SCHOOL: As advertised in last week's News, a Pilots Ground School will be held in Terrace Bay beginning this week, January 21st and 22nd, and will continue for 9 weeks. Cost for registration is $45.00, plus the price of two textbooks.
