Brandon and Mr. Tom Wall, attended, were welcomed and introduced. : . : The minutes of Meeting No. 12/76 held November 15, 1976 were approved. The minutes of the following meetings were acknowledged as received: a) French Language Advisory held December 6, 1976; b) Advisory Committee of the Caroline McMorland School held December 7, 1976; c) Maintenance, Property Sales and Purchase held November 24, 1976. An Ad-hoc Committee, which had been set up to review the Board's Committees' Structure, brought in its report and the following Committees were Established as Standing Committees: 1) Education Committee; 2) Main- tenance Committee; 3) Finance Committee; 4) French Language 'Advisory Com- mittee; 5) Early School Leaving Committee; 6) Staff-Board Liaison Commit- . tee; 7) Advisory Committee to the Caroline McMorland School; 8) Salary The List of Disbursements-for the month of November, 1976, in the total amount of $819,099.61, were approved. The appointment of Mr. Hugh McKechnie to teaching staff, at salary ac-, cording to schedule, was approved, effective February 1,1977. The following resignations were accepted with regret: l. Mrs. Sharon O'Driscoll, Executive Secretary to the Director of Education, effective December 23, 1976; 2. Mrs. Vivian Wright, Secretary, Marathon Public School, effective December 31, 1976. : The Director of Education gave a.report on the progress of the Night School Programs for the first Semester. The report showed the following: * Marathon ~ 10 Courses ~ 259 Students Enrolled; Schreiber/Terrace Bay ~- 13 Courses - 234 Students Enrolled; Manitouwadge - 12 Courses - 351 Stu- dents Enrolled.
