RECREATION DEPARTMENT WEEKLY REPORT YOGA PROGRAMME : As advertised in last week's News, the Terrace Bay Recreation Department will be of- fering a ten week Yoga programme, commencing on Monday, September 27th. Two optional ses- sions will be held on September 20th and 22nd, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Martin School gym. Because of the two optional sessions, the deadline date has been changed to Monday," September 27th. Registration for the program- me is $15.00, which includes a total of 20 sessions over 10 weeks. Anyone wishing to register for this pro- gramme should contact the Recreation Office to make payment. TENNIS COURTS: A reminder to all players making use of the tennis courts that vehicles must not be driven through the school grounds to the ten- nis courts during school hours. Apparently this has been happening and it is obviously a dangerous situation for the children attend- ing school. NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO MUNICIPAL RECREATION ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE : : The 4th Annual Northwestern Ontario Munici- pal conference will be held October lst, 2nd and 3rd at the Airlane Motel in Thunder Bay. Theme of the conference is "Education plus Recreation = 2". ; This conference is open to anyone interes- ted in the development of Recreation in North- western Ontario. Interested persons may ob- tain further details by contacting the Recrea- tion Office at 825-3542. The conference chairman for this year is the Ontario Municipal Recreation Association Board Member for the District of Thunder Bay = O. Chapman. GIVE US A CALL: It is important to remind the general pub- lic that the Recreation Department i$ interes- ted in knowing about special interests people may have for programmes that are not presently being operated.
