Left to right: Peter Geldreich (Coach), Marvin Osmar and Ross Hudson. The Broomball season came to a close with Kimberly Clark winning the Championship and the Cebrario trophy by prevailing over MECO in the final series two games to none. The first game of the series, played in the Terrace Bay Arena, was closely fought with K-C finally edging a determined MECO squad 2-I. Problems with the ice plant for- ced a delay and a shift to the Schreiber A- rena for the dramatic second game. K-C fin- ally put it all together to win 6-I and take the series. Dormant for several years, broomball is making a comeback in this area and is cer- tainly popular on a province wide basis. The Ontario Broomball Association (O.B:3s) has been formed and a standard set of rules . will be formulated for next season's play. Broomball has support from Wintario and has been recognized as an Official Event in next years Ontario Winter Olympics. Cont'd pg.5..
