PAGE 6 MEGRAW'S HONOURED ON 25TH ANNIVERSARY A surprise Wedding Anniversary party was held for Jean and Bill Megraw. A group of fr- iends and their daughter, Pat with her hus- band, Jim, invaded the Megraw residence on the Anniversary night. - Jean and Bill received many lovely gifts. Silverware was presented from their family and Pat Langley (Jean and Bill's daughter) on behalf.of all their friends presented a money tree. She also presented a corsage to her mother. Happy reminiscences were turned' into a hil- arious time with a mock wedding skit with Carl Gorham, the dedicated friendly minister; Syl Duquette, the groom; and beautiful bounc- ing bride, Cleon Smith. Dick Rattray was bridesmaid and Doris Legault was best man. The service went off without a hitch with Bill promising to accept Jean with golf clubs and tees included. Julie Rattray assisted Pat in serving a light lunch and Jim Langley proposed a cham- pagne toast to Jean and Bill. Stan Megraw, their eldest son attended with friends. Out of town guests were: Stan Megraw, their eldest son and Tom McCullough, Dan Waychesko, Mr. H. Arnott and Mr. D. As mentioned previously, announcements will be made regarding the exact day that these facil- ities will be available for use. We encourage the general public to keep watching Channel 413 for opening dates of arena and curling rink. CROSS COUNTRY SKI CLINIC Please refer to page 5 for details regard- ing a Cross Country Ski Clinic which is being co-sponsored by Confederation College and the Terrace Bay Recreation Department. You will notice that there are two rates for the clin- ic, depending on whether or not you require equipment for the course. We encourage any- one interested to register at the Recreation Office by having the proper form filled out (available at the Recreation Office) and mak- ing payment for the clinic.
