Apparently consider- ] able difficulty is being experienced in the proposed blasting operations. Lack of exper- greatest set back. Romeo Bouchard agreed to pursue this matter with the proper authori- ties. Chairman R.T. Kenney presided for the me- eting and Secretary Treasurer Ronald Lanigan } was in attendance. Other members present were Herb Legault and Romeo Bouchard. Considerable discussion was had over the 3 entrances from the Trans-Canada Highway at the east and west approach to the village. This problem has been under frequent and severe criticism by motorists. The poten- tial dangers on the turns to the village by motorists, buses and school bus made it mand- atory that the Board ask the Department of Transportation and Communications to rectify this situation. These approaches to the vil- lage are especially sudden and dangerous to night driving as they are difficult to see unless one is familiar with the entrances. It has been noted that casual visitors often drive past, rather than attempt to negotiate the turn to the village of Rossport. Accounts were ordered paid and the annual salary of the Sec. Treas. conforming with the + Department of Transportation and Communica- tions ruling was paid. It was noted that al)? surplus funds be sent to their offices and " books for auditing. The Sec. Treas. is to at- tend a special meeting in Thunder Bay with the taxation assessment authorities to keep the tax roll of the ratepayers up to date. 1
