If for some reason you are not able to sign the petition going door to door, the following outlets in the community have been set up to allow you to add your name and address: Municipal Office; Recreation Office; Credit Union; Doreen's Snack Bar; Birchwood Terrace and "the Canadian Legion. Every petition outlines the following re- solution which will be presented at the hear- ing in Thunder Bay on October 9th. Read it, and if you are in agreement please support the petition by signing your name and address. Please sign only one petition to avoid dup- lication. Whereas the people of the region of Northern Ontario are deeply distressed about losing one Federal representative with the proposed new boundaries for the Federal ridings: And Whereas it is time in our history when the region is undergoing its most rapid growth and development and we need every voice in the Par- liament of Canada; And Whereas the proposed new riding has no "sense of community" due to: (a) lack of communication, no T.V., radio, newspaper or ground and air transporta- tion links difference in geophysical makeup vacant land-100 miles in width separating the easterly and westerly sections (b) (c) Now Therefore be it resolved that the Commun- ity of Terrace Bay proclaim the denunciation of the proposed federal electoral districts and petition the Commission to allow the Thun- der Bay Riding ro remain with the present boundaries. We the undersigned support and concur with the above resolution: for the nominal price of $2.00. D) The termination of employment of Mrs. Joyce Gilmour, Board Office staff, effective June 30th 1975. E) The following appointments, at salary ac- cording to schedule: Miss Agnes Hutchison, Marathon High School; Mrs. Joan Niemi, Lake Superior High School; Mr. Robert Thomson, Lake Superior High School; Miss Penny Possamai, Lake Superior Public School; Miss Marianne Hoople, Lib.
