Cleveland of St. Paul, Minn. ] OPEN LETTER - continued from page 9 ....... to Justify the excessively high fees being charged for dental services; particularly in the case of the $52 bill, which was for less than one half hour's work. Even more vexing is the fact that patients with appointments are being forced to wait one to two hours to see their dentists, and yet on their bill, there is an entry which indicates a charge to the patient for missed "appointments. I respectfully urge you to have either your Ministry officials or the College of Dental Surgeons make a survey of rates charg- ed, to ensure that these amounts can in fact be justified. your interest and concern in this import- ant matter will be most welcome and greatly appreciated. Yours sincerely, Jack Stokes MPP - Thunder Bay, New. Democratic Party. SMALL CRAFT SAFETY TODAYS CHILD BY HELEN ALLEN ~~ E E, THE TORONTO 51] SYNDICATE Bruce, just turned nine, is excited at the thought of having a mother and father and, he hopes, older brothers and sisters too. He also hopes all these unknown people, whom he is anxious to meet, will let him play hockey. Hockey is Bruce's favorite but he will play any game available. He isn't very good at games but would be a most responsive son for a father with the interest and the time to play with him and share know-how with him. Bruce has been in a class for children with emotional problems but will be going into a regular class next fall. He is an average student but lacks confidence in himself. He needs a lot of encouragement and stimulation. With his brown hair, blue eyes, fair skin and a few freckles, Bruce is an appealing-looking lad. He is healthy and active -- sometimes too active. He needs parents who can convince him that he is really wanted and loved. Bruce should be the only child or the youngest by several years. To inquire about adopting Bruce, please write to Today's Child, Ministry of Community and Social Services, Box 888, Station K, Toronto M4P 2H2. In your letter please tell something of your present family and your way of life. For general adoption information, consult your local Children's Aid Society. Bio. HE'S AHOCKEY FAN Um
