JULY 30,:1975 TERRACE BAY NEWS ° PAGE 3 Loon 0 oT eteace Bay PROCLAMATION 1375 CIVIC HOLIDAY The Council of The Township of Terrace Bay at a meeting held on the 23rd day of July I975, adopted the following resolution: "That MONDAY, AUGUST 4th, I975, be and the same is hereby fixed as the CIVIC HOLIDAY for the current year, and that the REEVE be requested to publish the usual proclamation for this purpose." In compliance with the foregoing resolution, I do hereby proclaim MONDAY, the 4th day of AUGUST 1975, as the CIVIC HOLIDAY for the year, of which all persons are hereby requested to take notice and govern themselves accordingly. Bray" Reeve GOD SAVE THE QUEEN TERRACE BAY POLICE REPORT During the week July 2Ist to 27th 20 occurr- ences were reported to the Terrace Bay Police Department. : On July 20th a local resident was reported missing from home. She was later located at Marathon. Also on July 20th while police were returning a stolen chimney to the building site on Strathcona the theft of a bath tub was re- ported. July 25th saw a motor cycle accident in which the rider was taken to hospital suffer- ing minor injuries. A disturbance was reported outside the Red Dog Inn but was settled before the arrival of the pelice. On July 26th a minor hit and run accident occurred when a vehicle hit the fence surround- ing the cemetery. Two charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and eleven motor vehicles were safety checked. July 24th in Provincial Court saw Magistra- te Butterin presiding. Mr. Butterin instructed that in all cases involving bad driving no out of court settlement would be permitted.
