Schelling have returned after a holiday visiting relatives and friends in Florida. Mrs. Hilda Mushquash was a business visit- or to Thunder Bay this week. Rev. Father O'Flattery of Spanish, Ont. is supplying here in the absence of the pastor, Rev. Father Meyer who is holidaying with rel- atives in California. John Joiner and assistant have left to man Battle Island Lighthouse for the shipping season. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Lanigan and family of Nipigon spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mushquash. Mrs. Camilla Legault hosted the members of the St. Berchman's Altar Society Wednesday evening following their winter break. She welcomed the holidaying members and other members back. Prayers were recited following the opening and closing exercises. A cash and miscellaneous prize bingo was plan- ned for May 20th. Mrs. Todesco is to make posters for same. Mrs. Agnes Legault presented a satisfactory financial statement and Mrs. Mary Schelling read the minutes and correspondence and pre- sented the accounts for payment. Mrs. Kenney invited the members to her home for the May meeting. Following adjourn- ment the hostess served luncheon and a social hour was enjoyed. Grade 8 Separate School .
