No firm decision was made, but relief does seem with- in sight for pedestrians. Councillor N.A. McCuaig reported on the pro- gress of the work on the medical centre. Al- so, plans for the enlargement of the public library (which is in the town hall) were con- sidered. : Councillor Tom Quinton, for the Recreation Committee, reported that they would appreciate a meeting with council to discuss their pro- posed budget, and, it is expected Doug Clark of the Ministry of Community Services will attend this meeting. Councillors Joseph King and N.A. McCuaig were named as council's representatives to the Recreation Committee to act with Mr. Quinton. The rink committee's decision to reduce the fees charged to the Public School for use of the rink, was questioned, and after reading a letter from the Lake Superior Board of Educa- tion, a decision was deferred until the next meeting.
