OCTOBER 25, 1972 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 Penner, Keith QQ (81:13:71 GUIDES AND BROWNIES ANNUAL MEETING The Local Association to Guides and Brownies held their annual meeting October 16, 1972 with eighteen members present. The president, Mrs. G. Moore chaired the meeting and welcomed two new members. One new Guide and one new Brownie leader came forward to help and are greatly appreciated. More leaders are still desperately needed! It was decided to have a wreath presented on Remembrance Day. The Licorice All Sorts Blitz will be held December 8, 1972 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Please welcome our Guides and Brownies. To avoid confusion, new Brownies must be seven years old by September 30th to join brownies. Membership fees are due at the next meeting, November 20th, 1972 and please bring a "Get Well" Card. New members are always welcome. Annual reports were given showing a successful year. The meeting was adjourned and a lovely lunch was served by J. Desrosiers and S. Caron. LOCAL HOSPITAL REPRESENTATIVES AT PROVINCIAL CONVENTION The general sessions for hospital trustees and ad- ministrators will focus on the delivery of health care through hospital-sponsored pgorams, as well as the effects of recent health care legislation and the role of district health councils. A total of more than 75 speakers and panelists will participate in the three-day convention, the largest for hospital personnel in Canada. Active participation by 136 suppliers and manu- facturers makes the OHA convention Canada's lar- gest exhibition of modern hospital equipment. TERRACE BAY MENS CURLING CLUB NEWS The Semi-Annual Meeting of the Terrace Bay Curl- ing Club was held October 18, in the Curling Club Lounge. The results of the meeting were as follows: The Men's League will curl Mondays and Wednesdays The Women's League will curl Tuesdays and Thurs- days; The Mixed League will curl Fridays. The teams will be set up the same as last year. That is, all members will be rated by a rating com- mittee. The skips will then hold a meeting and choose teams. continued page 6 ......
