Bernier, Minister ARTISITS TO TOUR ONTARIO: TO VISIT TERRACE BAY JULY 27, 28, &29 People of all ages in northern Ontario will be able to participate in a travelling artistic workshop again this summer. The Ontario government is operating Art Trek on a larger scale this summer as a result of its unqualified success in 1971. This year Art Trek is made up of six teams of two talented young artists each. They will travel in vans full of art materials to some 60 communities conduct- ing casual participation workshops in painting, draw- ing, batik, lino-printing and sculpture. Lee Thomas, Art Trek's co-ordinator, said, "The programme is mainly for the teenage community, but a ny interested people willing to take an active part in the workshops are welcome." The programme is free. Art Trek is sponsored by the Youth and Recreation Branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services. Workshops will be conducted day and night in order to involve as many people as possible. Roberto Carbone, a member of last year's Art Trek, and Bob Hirano, a fourth-year student in the fine arts programme at the University of Windsor will make the journey to the northern part of the province. "We're really anxious to get up north", said Mr. Carbone.
