Second Event - Bill Cocks, Edna Cocks, Billie Ann Saarinen, Cathy Cocks. Runners up were June, Jade, Clover, and Victor Dukes. Seventeen rinks were entered in the bonspiel . CURLING John's Wiznuk's rink won the first event in the Leg- ion bonspiel, in which 12 rinks were entered. The spiel ended with a dinner and social evening in the Legion. The runners' up playing off the Wiznuk rink were Mary Kazcmierczak, Frank McKenna, Bill Collinson, and Russell Saaarinen. SCHREIBER CURLING CLUB NEWS Teh Schreiber Mixed Curling Bonspiel held on Feb. 25, 26, and 27th was a huge success. "Mugs" McCuaig presented the "Minnie"McCuaig Memorial Trophy to the Barry Harper rink of Wendy Weaver, Knut Schmiedchen, and Brenda Harper. A tough playoff game against the Ivan Cocks rink from Thunder Bay was certainly the highlight of the day. Ivan with Dixie Winters, Donnie Winters and Judy Cocks were two down coming home but were down one with the possibility of two. Barry with the last rock had the edge on Ivan and moved in to lie second shot. A missed shot by Ivan finished the game and Barry didn't have to throw his last rock.
