There have been many excellent games bowled to date, but we are still waiting for someone to roll a 300 game; and become a member of the Legion 300 club. We had three members last year Paul Coupal, Jim St. Louis and Len Swirhun. PROPOSED SLATE PRESENTED AT L.A. MEETING The first meeting of the new year for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church was held on Wednesday evening in the Church hall. Mrs. Barbara Wise presided and welcomed all the ladies present. Mrs. Isabel Marsh acted as Secretary in the absence of Mrs. Pam Jones, who had recently undergone surgery, and is recuperating at home. Mrs. Marsh read the minutes of the last meeting and the correspondence . Mrs. Alice Farrow gave the monthly and annual treasurer's reports, and a report on the Manse Fund. Mrs. Wise thanked Mrs. Leona Mercure for the excellent preparations she had made for the Decem- ber Pot Luck Luncheon, and also voiced her appre- ciation to everyone who had helped make the luncheon so successful . Mrs. Wise stated that the Auxiliary had made a donation to the Memorial Organ Fund, in memory of Mrs. Elsie Ostling, a former resident and presi- dent of the Auxiliary, who passed away in Dryden, just before Christmas. continued page 3........
