Anyone who wants to have a contracep- tive deive prescribed is usually first interviewed by our Public Health Nurse, who will discuss available methods with plenty of time for questions. Then with some idea of all the available methods, the person will be seen by the doctor present, who will prescribe a suitable method after a physical exam- ination. If a question of surgical procedures, such as male or female sterilization comes up, a referral will be made to an appropriate specialist. | think the area that caused worry in some people's minds was the question of abortion.
