TURNER-GOODMURPHY Saturday, July 10, was a beautiful day, but it did not match the radiance of the bride when Doreen Elaine Goodmurphy, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ardon Goodmurphy, Chalet Husky, Terrace Bay, became the bride of Frederic Joseph Clarence Turner, eldest son of. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Turner of Nipigon. - At the wedding ceremony held in Holy Angel's Church, Schreiber and conducted by Rev. F.J. Meyer, the bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of Chantilly lace and nylon silk organza over bridal satin with full skirt of nylon organza trimmed with appliques of Chantilly lace softly gathered into the empire waistline with set-in band, and a fitted bodice of Chantilly lace and scooped neckline scalloped at the edge, with full length fitted sleeves with tily points. Her headpiece was an open pillbox of satin trimmed with Chantilly lace, with bouffant veil of silk illusion edged with lace. As Matron-of-honour the bride chose her sister, Miss Beverley Goodmurphy and two other sisters, Mrs. Andy Herold of Missanobie and Miss Karen Goodmurphy as bridesmaids. Flower girl was the bride's niece, little Jacqueline Herold, while Jeffrey Baker, Heron Bay acted as ring bearer. Supporting the groom was his brother, Mr. Gerald | Turner of Nipigon. Ushers were Mr. Andy Herold brother-in-law of the bride and her brother Mr. Lloyd Goodmurphy of Terrace Bay. : Following the ceremony the wedding party returned to the home of the bride's parents at the Chalet Husky, where a wedding dinner was served to rela= tives of the couple. Mr. Charles Hope, uncle of the bride, gave the toast, which was suitably res- ponded to by the groom. Later in the evening a wedding reception and dance was held in the Moose Hall, Terrace Bay, with music being supplied by the groom's cousin, Mr. Lawrence Roy of Thunder Bay on his twelve string guitar. In charge of the register were Miss Marilyn Fetter of Kitchener and Miss Linda LeSarge of Heron Bay. : In attendance was the grandmother of the groom, : Mrs. Emilienne Maheux of Hearst and grandmother of the bride, Mrs. "Jim Moore of Carberry, Man.
