WIDDOP - GUEST SPEAKER Dr. J.H. Widdop, Chairman of the Physical Edu- cation Department at Lakehead University, was guest speaker at the Schreiber High School Awards Banquet on May 26th. Dr. Widdop was born in Yorkshire, England, and x attended Elementary and Secondary School there. ia : He holds the following degrees:~ B. Sc., (University of London, England); M.Sc. (McGill University, Montreal) and Ph.D. (University of Wisconsin). He served as a Fighter Pilot in the Fleet Air Arm. Dr. Widdop taught Physical Education, English and Mathematics in England for five years, and in Mon- treal for two years. He was professor of Physical Edu: cation at McGill University for nine years. In 1969 he was appointed Chairman of the Physical Education Department at Lakehead Jniversity.
