APRIL 14, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 11 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY In the very near future, the Terrace Bay Recrea- ion Department will be operating a new Games Room area in the Recreation Centre. The activities in the Games Room will be available to the general public and there will be ADULT SUPERVISION at all times. Anyone wishing to secure part-time and/or full- time employment as-GAMES ROOM SUPERVISOR is asked to apply in writing to: Sports-Recreation Co-Ordinator, Box 460, Terrace Bay, Ontario, before Wednesday, April 21st, at 5:00 p.m. Interviews will then be arranged by the Recreation Office. Games Room - continued shuffleboard, pool, pin ball machines and novelty machines. The Recreation Department wishes to stress that the activities are available to the general public Also, it should be noted that the Games Room will be operated under adult supervision at all times. The Recreation Department hopes that the general public will be receptive to this new type of activity and that the rooms provides another outlet for leisure~time pursuits. It is the intent of the Recrea= tion Department to promote this new facility by means of specialized tournaments (i.e., Ladies Day, teen- age tournaments, efc.). BICYCLE USERS HEED WARNING With the advent of spring and its accompanying warm weather, more and more youngsters are taking their bicycles out of winter storage. Spring is a hazardous season for bicycles, and, as it is impossible for us to reach each and every rider, we urge parents to inform their children regarding safety on bicycles. Riders must adhere to the rules of the road the same as motor vehicles. Stop signs must be obeyed and proper signals employed when turning. It is illegal for more than one person to ride on a bicycle. We urge bicycle riders to stay away from large puddles as it is not possible to ascertain the depth of these.
