MARCH 31, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS KLONDIKE NITE - APRIL 17th The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Le- gion, Branch #223, held their March meeting with Mrs. P. Coupal presiding. One new member, Mrs. W. Young, was welcomed to the auxiliary. Mrs. D. Gunter and Mrs. H. Gusul volunteered to serve on the July Ist committee. Catering to the April Zone Meeting were Mrs. H. Duriez, Mrs. Ethel Boyd and Mrs. D. Bougie. A number of tea towels were brought to the mee- ting by some members and it is hoped that more tea towels will be donated at the next meeting. Invitational letters were to be sent to Schreiber, Marathon and Manitouwadge challenging these Auxiliaries to a bowling tournament, tentative date to be set in May. A penny auction and card party plans were discussed, this also was to be a May pro- ject. Any fraternal delegates, planning to attend the Nipigon district meeting, please contact Mrs. C. Mercier for hotel or motel reservations as early as possible. A recent mixed Shuffleboard Tournament was held and the winners were: A Event - Jean Megraw and Leon Theriault. - Continued next column ..... Runner-up - Ethel Boyd and Ray Black; Consolation - Yvonne LeClair and Harry Gusul. Mystery of the week = What shuffleboard winners won a prize and ended up a nickel in the red. A letter of confirmation was received by Shiriff Matt Dillon, who will be attending our Klondike Nite. One of his deputies, either Festus or Chester will also attend. : Mrs. D. Gunter and Mrs. S. DOTT - Bob and Marlene proudly announce the ar- rival of their first born, a daughter Dawn Robin, born February 24th, 1971, in the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg. : The proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Birch, Schreiber.
