Effective April 1, 1971 this "flat rate class of service will no longer be available. In order to minimize customer inconvenience and and to facilitate the implementation of this new policy, the revision in the wiring will be done by Utility Staff free of charge, commencing April Ist to April 9th, 1971. He has | been chairman of The Association of Western Hospitals which comprised all hospitals in the eleven Western States. He has also served as Representative in the field of Mental Retardation fo the Catholic Bishops of the United States. He has published two articles, namely "Pastoral Detection of Neurotic and/or Psychotic Personalities" and "Job Description for Hospital Chaplain". He has been in the capacity as Director of Mental Retardation at Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital since October 1969. NOTICE OF MEETING The Schreiber-Terrace Bay and District Association for the Mentally Retarded will be holding an Open General Meeting on March 25th af 8 p.m. in Holy Angel's Parish Centre, Schreiber. Guest speaker will be Rev. Father John Rice - Director of the Mental Retardation Section of the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Thunder Bay, Ont. All interested people are welcome to attend. Father Rice is a Roman Catholic Priest, having taken his College studies at St. Edward's Seminary, Seattle, Washington, receiving Bachelor's Degree in 1946. At the same Instifution, he took four years of theology and received a Master's in sacred theology, being ordained in 1950. In 1955, he pursued further courses in Psychology at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington and in 1957, con- cluded higher studies in Psychology at Seattle University giving him a Master's in Psychology, he was engaged in parish work in Seattle for two years, and was then assigned Chaplain to Firland Sanator=- ium, Seattle, and Fircrest School for the Mentally Retarded, in Seattle also, Fircrest School had a capacity of 1,000 severely retarded.residents. He hos been and continues to be, an active members of The American Association of Mental Deficiency, having held regional, as well as national offices with the 'Association.
