The SABRES won both the games by scores of 7-3 and 6-3 to take the 1970- 71 Ringette championship. Members of the winning team are as follows: = Captain Tara Greenwood, Donna Dakin, Mary Waghorn, Carol Bouchard, Charlene Nesbitt, Helga Hermes, Maria Hermes, Diane Coupal and Ann Louise Regis. At the time of this write-up, all Ringette players were involved in an invitational tournament held locally, and it is hoped that our girls will be able to attend an out-of-town tournament in the near future. : Special recognition should go to the following people who volunteered their time and efforts to help out as referees in the Ringette league: Mrs. Betty Oksanen, Miss Phyllis Ann Turner, Sister Paulette.
