PAGE 12 TERRACE EVENING CLASSES ANYONE - AT T.B.H.S. Terrace Bay High School is a busy place these days. Several class rooms are used twelve hours a day. There were two evening classes last year, small motors and welding. Now there are four - two typing, one sewing and again small motors. Total enrollment reached sixty-eight this winter. These courses are not credit courses, but courses designed for furthering the ability of individuals to find new hobbies and to aid them in their jobs. At the conclusion of these classes, certificates are issued to those having been in attendance 75% of the classes, and having successfully mastered the fundamentals of the skills learned. There is even more room for additional courses should the desire of the tax payers be moved effect ively. The most effective way to instegate a course is for fifteen or more people to agree on a course they would like to have and express this wish to the principal of Terrace Bay High School. Classes can start at any time, with a duration of fifteen or thirty-six hours. It would be nice to see the entire school plant operating twelve hours a day. The facilities and instruction are of the highest calibre and should be used. AY NEWS JANUARY 21, 1971
