For further information, phone 825-3747 = ANN TS WEEKLY REPORT FROM THE SCHREIBER DETACHMENT 0F THE ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE As the result of investigation at a residence on Galena Street during the early: hours of November 8, 1970, James Alvin Charette, age 2I, a tenant of the residence has bsen charged with supplying liquor to minors. age I9, Robert Donald Smith, age IB and Giovanni Racioppi, age I8, all of Schreiber, found on the premises at the time have been charged with minor consuming end found-ins, A quantity of liquor was seized. Kevin Cosks, age I7, of Schreiber was charged November 8, 1970 with having liquor on Galena Street at approximately 12:15 A.M. - A quantity of beer was seized. At 12:40 A.M., November 8, 1970 a quantity of liquor was seized from a vehicle on Brunswick Street, Roger George Spencer, Claude Glen Martin have been charged with having liquor and consuming respestivsly. As the result of an ocourrence at an Alberta Street home, November 8, T1970 at I;45 A.M., Roger George Spencer, Claude with trespassing at night. At 2:00 A.M., November 8, 1970 Charles Andrew Peltier, age 2I, of Schreiber was arrested on a charge of causing a disturbance. He was released nn sash bail to appear in Provincial Court, at Schreiber, November I7, 1970. One investigation of assault was carrisi out November 8, 1970 = No further police action was taken when complainant did not wish to prefer shargss. Ta , 137 Eddie Louis Comesu, Glen Martin and Dale Riley, all of Schreiber havs been charged One involved the theft of money from a purse at 'he Mayfair Hotel. This matter is still undar investigation. The sec~ ond complaint involved the theft of a spare tire and rim and a quanti-y of motor oil from a 3 ton tmick parked ay Ssheeiber Arena, on the night of November 7-8, 1970. The tire and rim have been resovared, the oil is still oui- standing. A disturbance =t 7:15 0.M., November 3, [370 at a Schreiber resulted in two Schreiber residents, Giovanni Recioppi, age IS and Claude Glen Martin, age 7C being char- ged with causing a disturbance by fighting. On November I2, I970 at 12:05 A.M. Provincial Constable Lapworth apprehended a male subject using numerous aliases and wanted by various Police agencies in Canada and United States. This person was driving a vehicle west on Highway 17, in the Schreiber area, which was later learned to have been stolen in the State of Pennsylvania. He was escorted back to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to face charges at that point. Richard Francis Holloway, age 23, of 69 Melvin Ave., Thunder Bay was charged for having liquor in a vehicle on November I3, 1970. A quantity of beer was seized. One motor vehicle collision occurred during the week. On the evening of November 9, I970 a vehicle operated by Cosimo Commisso, Peary Street, Schreiber collided with a tractor-trailer unit operated by Eldare Joseph Savoie; of T749 Victories Park Ave., Soarboro, Cmterio. The mishap ocourred at the intersection of Highway I7 and Peary Street, Schreiber. Damage wae estimated to be approximately $400.00 There were no injuries. Roger Georges Spencer, age 20, Schreiber was charged tovember 8, I970 with driving s vehicle while his sbility was impaired by alcohol.
