sof ---------- "OCTOBER 29, 1970 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 Outers Club - cont'd from page 1 ....... The teachers also "treated" us to an outers speciality banock (?). We enjoyed it very much. Later as the sun set, we did some fishing, catch- ing six and then sat around the warm camp fire, talk=- ing and joking until tiredness over came us. It was a nice warm night and everyone slept soundly. The next day, since half of our group had spent the previous day studying geology and the other half did the compas hike, the groups were reversed. In addition to these areas we also learned to leave an area as clean as nature intended it to be. All refuse was buried and, as much as possible, signs of our presence removed. All gear was packed and we boarded the bus for our return home. |t was a great experience and we learned a lot from it. Many more trips of this type are planned for the future and we are looking forward - to these. Photos next column .. were taken during the trip. The Outers, Terrace Bay High School . NOW!
