\ PAGE 22 TERRACE BAY NEWS J. STEVENS GUEST SPEAKER . The encouraging number of seventy-eight paid= up members was reported at the October meeting of the Catholic Parents Teachers' Associaition. Anthony Speziale, of the school staff, introduced Mr. John Stevens, academic administrator for the Nerthshore area, who spoke on class standards of today and those of earlier years: Bill Campbell, president, thanked Mr. Stevens. It was decided to have a smorgsbord this year rather than the annual school concert, with the date of the dinner to be decided later. It was proposed and approved, that during this year, speakers from both Schreiber and the district be invited to talk on pertinent matters = charitable projects carried on by many associaitions, affairs of local government, hobbies and other subjects of mu- tual concern. The parent teachers' Associaition of the Public School will be invited to hold a joint meeting with the C.P.T.A. Mr. Speziale reported plans are underway to have a bench donated to the playground by the C.P.T.A. Mrs. Michael Reid read minutes and correspond- ence and in the absence of Mrs. Gerald Godin presented her financial statement. Sch- reiber emerged victorious in both the boys and girls games. In the boys games the scores were 15 = 12 for Marathon, and 15 = 3 and 15 ~ I for Schreiber.
